pc start niet op als mybook eraan hangt

ik heb vorige week een my book essential 2TB van WD gekocht.

als ik mijn pc wil opstarten krijg ik een zwart scherm, ik heb in knowledge base gelezen

dat je in de bios de usb legacy moet afzetten, als noot staat erbij dat dit niet kan indien je een usb gestuurd keyboard hebt, rara dit is natuurlijk ...het geval bij mij.

als oplossing staat erbij schakel de harde schijf in wanneer je pc volledig is opgestart, wat betekent dat ik elke keer de usb plug eruit moet halen als ik m'n pc afzet, is er geen andere oplossing voor dit probleem?

Hebt je de nieuwe firmware geinstalleerd

Hier vindt je de handleiding doch ik heb nergens kunnen lezen van usb legacy.

Dit is de vraagstelling en het antwoord dat ik vond op de knowledgebase van WD issue 1201

Why doesn't my PC boot when I connect my USB drive to the computer before booting? Answer Problem:

After connecting a USB drive to the PC, the computer will not boot into Windows.

Cause:

The motherboard has a Boot from USB device, or similar option, which is enabled in the system BIOS.

Solution:

In the system BIOS, disable the Boot from USB device option and the USB Legacy Support option. Doing this will allow the PC to complete the boot process to the internal hard drive and allow you to enter Windows. If this does not work for any reason, you should boot your PC before connecting the USB drive. Once the computer is fully booted into Windows, connect the USB drive and wait for the operating system to detect the drive.

Important: Do not disable the USB Legacy Support if you are using a USB Keyboard. Doing so will prevent you from being able to use the keyboard during the booting sequence.

Note: For more information on another possible problem related to a Windows XP computer not booting with USB devices connected, please see Microsoft article 832577.

Check with Microsoft Support for hotfixes related to USB devices preventing Windows startup. Also check with your computer manufacturer for BIOS updates that may likewise correct this issue.

Daar zo ongeveer:

Als je usb apparaat als eerst bios boot zet dan zal de computer opstarten met de usb apparaat.

Dit heeft niks te maken met uw probleem tenzij je WD als eerste boot hebt gezet.

Dus moet je de eerste harddisk als eerste boot zetten.

de firmware is al geupdate zo daar kan het probleem niet zitten, ik weet niet wat het anders kan zijn dan instllingen aan usb boot of zo
